We use Units 1 through 7 of First Year Latin by Fr. Henle which gives the student a solid foundation in Latin. The text introduces vocabulary in each lesson and refers the student to the accompanying Grammar for the corresponding declensions, conjugations, and grammatical rules. The text also has a variety of exercises that will test the student on the new material that is covered in the lesson as well as passages to translate. The Latin I Syllabus has a day-by-day breakdown of this course along with quizzes, tests, answers to the quizzes and tests and a variety of teaching resources including Ninth Grade Learning Objectives, and grading charts. This is a 1 year, 1 credit course.
